Menarche
(First Period) Ceremony

Holding a Menarche Ceremony is a beautiful way to positively and consciously support your daughter through their passage into womanhood.

Females menstruate for approximately 40 years of their life - research tells us that if girls are not positively initiated and educated at the beginning of their menstruating years, it opens the door to disliking everything about their periods. Which leads to disconnection from their body’s and themselves.
During their ceremony the celebrated girl will sit in circle surrounded by her chosen guests, poems will be read, blessings shared, there will be crafting, fun, laughter and refreshments.
Suggested activities (choosing two-three activities):
Guests bring a special bead for threading onto a bracelet- Guests bring a poem, reading or blessing to share
Flower Crown creation for the celebrated girl
Feet & hand massage, followed by painting the celebrated girls nails
Brushing and Braiding hair
Red Thread Ceremony
