Did you attend an antenatal class during your pregnancy? Or maybe you're familiar with these classes that people take while pregnant? This course is similar but focuses on perimenopause and menopause. It's thorough and intended for all women.. Just like pregnancy & birth, there's no right or wrong way to approach menopause—only your way. This course will support you on your journey.

We meet over four sessions that are 2 hours long. During each session I will share the information on the topics for that week and then the space will be opened for questions and sharing.
Course Structure
Week 1
The menstrual cycle
Season and Cycles
Menopause as a rite of passage
-
Why are we covering the menstrual cycle?
I believe to know where we are going, what will change and why the changes are happening, we should understand where we are coming from.
It’ll be a high level overview of the menstrual cycle and the hormones at play. Once we have covered that, when we go through the stages of perimenopause and what happens to your hormones, you’ll have a much clearer understanding.
During the first week, we will also look at seasons and cycles around us and we will explore menopause as a rite of passage. We can learn about the logistics of the change we are going through but that’s just one piece of the puzzle. Think back to your menarche or during pregnancy/birth, you may have done a course or class to learn what is physically happening but did you know what was happening on a deeper level? Were you prepared for the emotional, mental and spiritual changes? I know I wasn’t and when I reflect on those rites of passage, I feel incredibly let down by society that there wasn’t more emphasis put on how I was actually changing as a person. More ceremony to acknowledge my change as an individual and role in society.
Another big piece of this work is to address any mindset worries. Society doesn’t value women, it especially doesn’t value aging women, yet menopause and beyond is an incredibly powerful time for us. We deserve to feel seen and respected as we enter this season of life.
Week 2
What perimenopause and menopause are
The stages of perimenopause
All about hormones
-
During the second week we begin our deep dive into perimenopause and menopause.
We start by looking at what exactly perimenopause and menopause are. While menopause is a term we are now used to hearing, perimenopause is newer and it’s good to know what it is when people use it.
We will look at the four stages of perimenopause including what is happening hormonally. Understanding what is happening hormonally, for me, is fundamental to truly understanding your body. I don’t think this knowledge should be left to “experts”, it belongs with women.
Week 3
Symptoms and their cause
HRT and Alternatives
-
We look at the list of symptoms associated with menopause and what might be causing them.
I often hear women say that they felt they were going crazy because they were not being taken seriously by their GP’s. Knowing the symptoms and possible causes can be very empowering and arm you with information to have better conversations with your health care providers. Knowledge is power!
We also look at HRT options available and also what alternatives are available. There is no right or wrong way to approach how you support yourself.
Week 4
What you can do
Foundations for optimal hormone health
-
By the final week, you will have a good understanding of what perimenopause & menopause are, what symptoms you may experience and how you can navigate this phase of life. You should feel knowledgeable to have conversations with your health care provider with ease and confidence. You will be your own Heroine.
During the fourth and final week of the course we discuss what you can do to prepare and support your body and mind. I will also share the foundations for optimal hormone health, so you have the knowledge in your hands to begin making any changes you wish to.
You Will Receive

Yes, absolutely. This course is designed for women who are yet to go through menopause. You will learn about the stages of peri-menopause, the physiological process, symptoms and how you can support yourself. Plus so much more.
-
I honestly do not think you can learn about menopause too early. Not only will you learn about the stages of perimenopause, the physiological process, symptoms, HRT & alternatives, you will also learn how you can support yourself. The holistic lifestyle changes I will discuss can be implemented at any season of life. They are beneficial for all girls and women, and the sooner you can implement them, the sooner you will see & feel the benefits - especially as you approach perimenopause.
-
If it has been 12 months since your last period, this means you are through menopause or as some specialists like to call it ‘postmenopausal’. If this is you and you feel you could benefit from support, I offer 1-2-1 holistic support for women in their autumn season of life. To read more click here
