“Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.”
Hormone imbalances do not happen in a vacuum. Modern medicine often treats symptoms in isolation without trying to understand the root-cause. This is my quest, to understand root causes.
Your endocrine system is intrinsically linked, if there is an issue somewhere, it will have an impact on your other hormones. Examples of this could be high or low levels of insulin, diet missing vital nutrients/vitamins/minerals, high levels of stress or thyroid issues.
Did you know that your menstrual cycle is your 5th vital sign?
Along with blood pressure, body temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate your menstrual cycle can be seen as your 5th vital sign. Your menstrual cycle/period is a messenger system (a monthly health report card as Lisa Hendrickson Jack calls it) - delivering important messages to you, telling you if all is well or if something isn’t quite right. If your cycle is long or short, irregular, or if your period is painful, heavy or light, long or short. If you experience facial acne, breast tenderness or cyclical headaches - these are all signs that something is off and it’s worth investigating.
What’s more, your endocrine system is connected to your nervous system. If our nervous system is disregulated through stress, anxiety, exercise, under eating, over eating, poor sleep etc. this will show up in your menstrual cycle.
Our bodies are not flawed - they are clever, beautiful & complex, and it can take someone with a real passion for women's health to get to the bottom of what’s going on.
I love working 1-2-1 with women to help them understand what is going on with their hormones. Removing physiological conditions like endometriosis, adenomiosis, PCOS and Fibroids, many hormone imbalances (and therefore menstrual cycle issues) are caused by cortisol or insulin - meaning stress and what we are/aren’t consuming.
If you are experiencing anything outside of the healthy, optimal menstrual cycle & period ranges, the good news is you do not have to live with them. Even if your Doctor has told you that what you are experiencing is normal. Period pain and heavy periods have been normalised, it’s time to change that narrative.
Working with me, I will give you clear ideas of what could be going on and easy to follow protocols on how to overcome them.
When looking to address hormone issues, we need to do a thorough review of all areas of our lifestyle from what we eat, how much sleep we get, down to what cleaning products we use - yes, seriously!
If this resonates with you, and your womb is yelling “YES” go and take a look at my 1-2-1 hormone support options. I have two options available:
The Review - is a one-off consultation where I explain what could be going on and give you some high-level steps to take away with you.
The Journey - is a 6 month support package, where I explain what could be going on, followed by in depth protocols to implement over our time together. Each session begins with a check-in and review of how you are, we then talk about the next step and how you can weave it into your day to day.
My 1-2-1 support is for girls and women at all stages of life. For girls who have just started their period, to women who are experiencing menstrual cycle challenges, to women going through peri-menopause to women who are postmenopausal. The protocols and lifestyle adjustments are applicable at every season of life.
